Duff Cooper’s bookplate,
designed by Rex Whistler
Since 2005 we have been generously supported by
which donates the Champagne for the award presentation,
and contributes £1000 towards the £5,000 prize.

Given annually since 1956, The Duff Cooper Prize is dedicated to celebrating the very best in non-fiction writing. Its income is the interest raised on the Duff Cooper Prize Fund, which was collected by Duff Cooper's friends after his death in 1954.
We have been exceptionally lucky in our friends and supporters. For some years the party has been hosted by The French Ambassador, a generous gesture reflecting both Duff Cooper's love of France and his own career as Ambassador to Paris after the War. We are also very grateful to Pol Roger, who donate the Champagne for the party and contribute £1000 to the Prize. Yet we rely on private donations to continue our work of seeking out the best books, and rewarding their authors. Only with your help can we secure the future.
If you would like to make a donation, please send a cheque made out to THE DUFF COOPER PRIZE, and your contact details, to the address below. If you are a UK tax payer, we would be very grateful if you could send it with the downloadable Gift Aid form.
